This initiative is organized under Work Package 8 (Communication, Education & Training) of the EASI-SMR Project, led by ENEN.
💡 Who can apply?
🎓 Students and early-career professionals (≤10 years of experience) in the nuclear sector.
📦 What’s covered?
Mobility grants (lump sums) for travel and subsistence costs.

📚 About the Workshop
The International Workshop on Thermal-Hydraulic Scaling for SMR Safety Demonstration will bring together leading experts from Europe, the USA, Japan, and South Korea. Over three days, participants will:
🔹 Explore SMR-specific thermal-hydraulic phenomena.
🔹 Review methodologies, limitations, and advanced approaches in scaling techniques.
🔹 Learn from international case studies (USA, Europe, Japan, South Korea).
🔹 Engage in panel discussions on scaling from experiments to reactor design, and managing distortions, uncertainties, and simulation codes.
🔹 Conclude with a technical visit to SIET facilities in Piacenza for hands-on insights.
This interactive programme is designed to equip participants with cutting-edge knowledge for supporting SMR safety demonstration and licensing.
