OFFERR Project

eurOpean platForm For accEssing nucleaR R&d facilities

DESCRIPTION of the OFFERR Project

OFFERR is a European project by SNETP, funded by EURATOM with a budget of €7 million to facilitate international cooperation in nuclear research. Its goal is to provide access to state-of-the-art nuclear infrastructures for R&D experts and channel the financial support provided by EURATOM until 2026. To achieve this, the project has established a European User Facility Network (EUFN) database and an OFFERR catalogue containing 190+ nuclear research institutions all over Europe for which R&D experts can apply.

The project’s first call for proposals was launched on April 3, 2023, and is open to project proposals in all research disciplines and topics that align with SNETP’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). More details on the call and application process can be found on the OFFERR website.

Organization of the Work

  • WP1 User facilities network, coordinated by CEA:
Consolidates a nuclear infrastructure database & sets up the User Facilities Network.
  • WP2 Design & launch calls for infrastructure access, coordinated by SCK CEN:
Launches an open call to facilitate interactions between users and facilities.
  • WP3 Evaluation process monitoring, coordinated by VTT:
Implements an evaluation monitoring process for applications.
  • WP4 European & international interactions, coordinated by JSI:
Develops European and international interactions and training.
  • WP5 Scientific monitoring, dissemination & exploitation, coordinated by UJV:
Monitors scientific progress and promotes public project results.
  • WP6 Project coordination, management & communication, coordinated by EDF:
Coordinates the technical, scientific, legal, financial and administrative aspects and manages the communication activities.
  • WP7 Facilitating access to infrastructures, coordinated by LGI:
Facilitates the distribution of financial resources to the User Facilities.
