Pu School – nuclear radiochemistry hands on training (March-April 2020, Gothenburg, Sweden)

The course takes place at the CHALMERS University of Technology, Gothenburg (CHALMERS), Sweden, on March 30 – April 3, 2020.

The course provides fundamental theoretical knowledge of principles and concepts on Plutonium chemistry. The theoretical knowledge is complemented by practical hands-on training in the selected radioanalytical methods. It consists of a theoretical component which will be delivered through combination of distance learning via CINCH Moodle/electronic platform and on-site face-to-face teaching. The practical hands-on component will take place in the laboratories at the Department of Nuclear Chemistry of Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.

Experience in handling open sources of ionising radiation in a radiochemistry laboratory is presumed.

Additional information

No course fee will be charged to the participants. A budget exists to support the travel costs and lodging of participants. We would like to encourage you to apply for the funds via the school application form. It will be on the basis of first came first served.

Only a limited number of participants can be accepted. Admission will be based on the evaluation of CVs and Motivation Letters included in the Application form.
