Nuclear revival in Europe is back on the agenda. The countries of the Alliance have proposed to produce 150 GW in the future European electricity mix by
2050. This will prove a major challenge for the nuclear industry, requiring the equivalent of 35 new EPR reactors and the recruitment of 450,000 workers.
Countries opting for nuclear power should begin preparing for the future now, by encouraging the young to study the technology and work in this industry,
which offers a rich diversity of professions. Europe must support mobility, in a labor and training market where companies, schools and regions can work together. It must strengthen its European nuclear industry in the resurgent global market.
