SLOVAK UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY IN BRATISLAVA

Slovak University of Technology (STU) founded in 1937 is the oldest and also the largest technological university in Slovakia. Surely more than 50% of high-educated technicians who work nowadays in nuclear industry graduated from this university. Its importance has increased in the 90s of the last century. Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava offers an education program oriented to nuclear sciences at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI). The study at the FEI STU in Bratislava consist of six bachelor (three years) and nine master (two years) programs.
Here are a fixed number of obligatory subjects in every program of study. Also, each of the 17 departments offers a group of optional subjects, from which every student can choose a subgroup of courses that interest them most and that relate to their future specialization. Excellent students from all programs can surely find jobs in the nuclear industry. For those who would like to continue their carrier as operating staff in nuclear power plants, it is recommended that they finish the Nuclear Power Engineering program.

– Radiology and Nuclear Medicine 48 hours (36 lectures and 12 seminars) in winter semester.
– Postgraduate study organized for yang professionals in Nuclear industry: Safety aspects of NPP operation – two semester study 231 hours (first semester 91 hours second semester 90 hours and 60 hours for preparation final theses)
