The project aims to improve retrospective dosimetry techniques to detect large-scale radiation exposures. The research will involve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 Developing and validating detection methods for ionizing radiation exposure<br>\u2705 Working with luminescent detectors (TL\/OSL materials) and biodosimetry techniques<br>\u2705 Collaborating with <strong>Swedish Defence Research Agency, Total Defense Research Institute (Ume\u00e5), and \u00d6rebro University<\/strong><br>\u2705 Conducting experimental validation, including <strong>in-situ radiation measurements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udee0 <strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Theoretical and experimental research on radiation dose reconstruction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of detection methods for large-scale radiation exposure events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experimental validation of computational models<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possible involvement in <strong>robotic or UAV-borne radiation detection<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limited <strong>teaching and supervision of students<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in national <strong>radiation protection preparedness training<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf93 <strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><br>\u2714 PhD in <strong>medical radiation physics, nuclear physics, or technical physics<\/strong><br>\u2714 Strong research background in <strong>radiation dosimetry<\/strong> and ionizing radiation interactions<br>\u2714 Organizational and collaborative skills in <strong>interdisciplinary projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><br>\u2795 Experience in <strong>personal and retrospective dosimetry<\/strong><br>\u2795 Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals<br>\u2795 Interest in <strong>teaching and supervision<\/strong><br>\u2795 Fluency in English (written and spoken)<br>\u2795 BE Driving License<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfe0 <strong>Work Environment<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Medical Radiation Physics, Malm\u00f6<\/strong> research group is part of the <strong>Department of Translational Medicine, Faculty of Medicine<\/strong>, located at <strong>Sk\u00e5ne University Hospital, Malm\u00f6<\/strong>.
