The NEA Data Bank is working on \u00a0the 2023 schedule of training courses on computer programs used in nuclear energy applications. The list can be found at the link above. \u00a0\u00a0In order to gather the general interest in such courses, the NEA Data Bank has launched a survey, available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Your feedback will help to organise the courses you need most. It is an unique opportunity to inform the NEA Data Bank about your needs and expectations. Suggestions on potential new courses are also welcome!<\/p>\n

NEA FIDES Internship opportunity<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In the frame of the NEA Framework for Irradiation Experiments (FIDES) \u00a0P2M Project, a 6-month internship is available at CEA (France). The position is open to masters of engineering students with interest and experience in fuel performance code modelling. This internship could be used for a master thesis project, if relevant to the candidate. The selected intern will contribute to the design of the experiments in the P2M project, specifically, s\/he will help to finalise the plenum volume for the rodlet through calculation of the kinetics of the release of the fission gas release.<\/p>\n

DigiDecomm 2022 Young Generation Session and Awards<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

DigiDecom 2022 is an international workshop focusing on digital transformation, robotics and other game-changing trends in nuclear decommissioning, \u00a0taking place in Halden, Norway, from 18-20<\/strong> October 2022.<\/strong> The program as well as information about DigiDecom 2022 are available at the link above.<\/p>\n

A Young Generation Session is being organised with the opportunity for PhD Students to present their scientific projects. More details about the Call for Abstracts are attached.<\/p>\n

Students who submit an outstanding paper will have free access to the event and there are awards for the best posters.<\/p>\n

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) aims to help increase the number of women in the nuclear field, supporting an inclusive workforce of both men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation.<\/p>\n

The Programme aims to inspire and encourage young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field, by providing highly motivated female students with scholarships for Master\u2019s programmes\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>and an opportunity to pursue an internship facilitated by the IAEA.<\/p>\n

This survey launched by the IYNC \u00a0aims to gather opinions of\u00a0young professionals<\/a>\u00a0and students regarding what the nuclear industry can offer them to enhance their\u00a0professional<\/a>\u00a0growth<\/a>, and to\u00a0empower<\/a>\u00a0them to face the challenges of the years to come. This survey’s results will help implementing effective policies and providing insights to stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Participating in this survey allows you to enter a raffle per region for a prize! IYNC will pay for a certified online course up to 700 USD for the first prize and 300 USD for the second prize.<\/p>\n
